FAQ
Urgent business finance: frequently asked questions
The questions owners ask when something's due — answered plainly.
Asking and eligibility
Does enquiring affect my credit score?
No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A credit check is only discussed once you've seen your options and decided to go ahead.
Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?
No. Your enquiry goes to one team who work out the right match. We don't spray your details across the market, so your phone won't light up with calls from strangers.
Who can apply?
Australian businesses — sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts — needing finance for business purposes. Trading businesses without property can be considered for unsecured options; businesses with property access to secured options too.
Can I get finance with bad credit or ATO debt?
Often, yes. Past credit issues and ATO debt are considered case by case. Tell us about them on the form so they're part of the plan from the start.
Can a new business get urgent finance?
It's possible. A short trading history narrows unsecured options, which rely on bank statements, but property-secured loans can still be available because the security carries more of the assessment.
Why do you ask me to fill the form in accurately?
Because it's what we match you on. Accurate amounts, deadlines and property details mean the first option we put in front of you is the one most likely to work — and land in time.
Amounts, speed and security
How much can I borrow?
Property-secured business loans run from $20,000 to $5,000,000 over residential or commercial property. Unsecured, cash-flow and line-of-credit options for trading businesses typically run from $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements.
How fast can funding happen?
For property-secured loans, $20k to $250k is possible same day and up to $5m is possible within 24–48 hours. Same-day funding is possible for smaller unsecured amounts. Timing depends on documents, security and accurate information.
Do I need property to get urgent finance?
No. Trading businesses can be considered for unsecured and cash-flow options. Property generally allows larger amounts and gives more room when trading history is short or credit is patchy.
What types of property can be used?
Residential or commercial property, through a first mortgage, second mortgage or caveat. Property with an existing mortgage can often be used through a second mortgage or caveat loan.
What are your interest rates?
We don't publish rates. Every loan is priced on the business's individual circumstances — the amount, the term, the security and the risk — so a published number would rarely match what you'd actually be offered.
Bills and deadlines
Can I use urgent finance to pay wages?
Yes. Payroll is a business purpose and one of the most common reasons owners need money fast. Remember super too: under Payday Super it must reach the fund within 7 business days of payday.
Can I borrow to pay the ATO?
Yes. Paying a BAS, PAYG or other tax debt is a business purpose. Compare the total cost with an ATO payment plan, keeping in mind that general interest charge compounds daily and hasn't been deductible since 1 July 2025.
Can the lender pay my creditor directly?
Where it helps, yes. Funds can go straight to the supplier, the ATO or the customs broker, which gives the creditor certainty and you a clean record.
What if the deadline is today?
Enquire immediately with documents ready. Same day is possible for $20k–$250k secured against property and for smaller unsecured amounts. If today isn't realistic, call the creditor now and agree a firm new date.
What if I've received a statutory demand?
Treat it as the most urgent item on your desk. For company debts of at least $4,000, the company has 21 days to comply. Get legal advice straight away if the debt is disputed, and enquire immediately if it's owed.
After you enquire
What happens after I submit the form?
A real person reads your enquiry and calls you to talk it through — usually to confirm the amount, the deadline and what documents you have. There's no obligation to proceed.
What documents will I need?
Usually six months of business bank statements, ID for each director or owner, your ABN or ACN, the bill or notice itself and, for secured loans, property details such as a rates notice and mortgage statement.
Is the triage checker's result an offer?
No. It's a structured first look to point you at the likeliest pathway and the documents to gather. A specialist confirms what's actually possible.
Still have a question? The quickest answer is a real conversation. Start the 60-second enquiry or use the triage checker.
